Retirement,first days

Hi peeps, I have just retired, and that means I have to work harder, you fellers out there need to know, that when you retire , or get close to retiring, you wife will be making list after list of the work that she wants you to do!

Jane and I met on-line in 1999, and we had great times then, now we will have better times, no getting up at 4 a.m. to go to work, no having to listen to shift managers bawling people out over something and nothing, no more having to stand and listen to the sarcastic comments designed to belittle you and others, and not be able to smack them in the mouth for it, aggressive management is inhuman, and soul destroying, but I often stood up for myself and suffered the angst of managers and sometimes of supervisors.

In the old days, if a supervisor started bullying you, you called them out after work and either you hammered them or they hammered you, and after you beat them, they showed more respect for the man in you, mind you if you lost, they rubbed it in hard and deep!Never let you forget it.

Now I am a free man ( well as free as a married man can be ) I can do as I please, as long as I do as my beloved wife tells me, sort of like the magna carta, where we can do as we please as long as we do as we are told.

Time now for getting the caravan ready and the maps out and the journey's planned, visiting all those places that we had no time to visit when we were working.

Now is the time to rejoice in the freedom of action and motion, the only goal enjoyment of life to the fullest extent.

Time to read books, to take up art again, to play the organ, to do gardening and home maintenance, to go to the theatre to partake of candle lit dinners in a romantic setting.

I will enjoy this freedom believe me, doing my own thing with the girl I love and will always love.

That's all for now peeps.
Manny & Jane.
